SIARGAO ISLAND VILLAS - MY TOP CHOICE TO EXPERIENCE TRANQUILITY AND ACTION IN SIARGAO

This is our first time in Siargao, so I want to have a wonderful experience in this place. My husband and I are not surfers, but since Siargao is one of the booming tourist destinations in the country, we need to try and visit it. Accompanying a great experience when you go to a place is the hotel where you will stay. Therefore, I made sure that the hotel we choose will provide us with a good experience and one that I can recommend to everyone.

On our second day in Siargao, we dedicated our time to scouting for a hotel for the rest of our stay. We did not book online because I prefer to visit and see the place before we book it to ensure that it meets our standards and requirements for a hotel, so that we will not get disappointed upon our arrival.

In our search, I had three options, and among those three, I chose Siargao Island Villas. This is due to the following reasons:

THE HOTEL

The hotel is truly beautiful and very classy; as soon as you enter the lobby, you are immediately greeted by the relaxing scent of lemongrass, accompanied by their very refreshing welcome drink of the day. Their reception staff will also welcome and accommodate you promptly, so there is no long or extended queuing time during your check-in. The hotel has villas and deluxe rooms surrounded by numerous beautiful plants, so upon entering, you can immediately feel the flow of nature within your body. You can choose between the deluxe rooms and villas based on your needs or the number of guests staying in one room.

THE VILLA

As I mentioned earlier, I want to experience the best in this place and since this is our first time, I decided to fully take advantage and avail of their Island Villa Room. This villa has a large space that can accommodate up to 6 people. To be honest, the room is quite spacious for just my husband and me. Nevertheless, I still chose this one. This room features a King Size Bed, a twin-size pull-out bed, and a single size bed. It also has a sliding division for added privacy if more than a couple is staying. At the foot of your bed, you can see the balcony of the room, which is large and has a wide couch perfect for lounging and relaxing. I also took some solo pictures here for my IG and FB posts. The headboard of the bed serves as a partition for the walk-in closet and the ensuite toilet and bath of the room.

In their toilet and bath, there are toiletries, towels, slippers, several rolls of toilet paper, and an eco-bag that you can use and take home. Upon exiting the bathroom, you will face the walk-in closet, and to the side is the dresser where you can get ready or write. The villa has a WIFI access, personal refrigerator, a split-type air conditioning unit, and a ceiling fan that can effectively cool the entire room; however, my only complaint is why there is no TV in the villa. The management may have thought that guests are mostly outside exploring, but it would have been better if they had included one. After all, you are not outside the whole time, and sometimes you just want to relax in your room, watch the news, and enjoy your favorite TV show, etc. Nevertheless, this villa is a must try especially for families or couples looking for an added romantic feel to their vacation.

THE FACILITIES

The hotel is located on the beachfront and has direct access to the beach, which is one of the reasons I liked it. They also have a swimming pool with a depth of about 4-5 feet if you prefer not to swim in the ocean. This is because the beach in Siargao is somewhat rocky and not as fine compared to the beach in Boracay. You can also dine at the hotel's restaurant beside the pool area, which serves authentic Indonesian cuisine. We relaxed here on our third night, enjoying a meal and drinks at the restaurant while soaking in the swimming pool; I truly felt the vacation vibe in here.

Due to the long hours we spent lounging and swimming in the pool, the next day our backs ached, but fortunately, there is also a SPA facility at the hotel so I scheduled a whole body massage here. A shout out to the therapist named Clarissa, as her massage was very therapeutic for me. I was incredibly relaxed to the highest level. Their spa is open until 10 PM, and it is advisable to make a reservation in advance.

One of the things we were unable to do was play billiards, as there is also a billiard table available free of charge if you wish to use it. It is perfect for friends who want to bond and have extra enjoyment for the group. It is truly unfortunate that our itinerary is already full for the entire stay. But perhaps next time.

If you plan to shop for souvenirs, there is also a shop in the hotel, located right next to the entrance, so you won't miss it. You can shop here for souvenirs or swimwear if you find that you are lacking in what you brought.

VERDICT

I can say that I have obtained the experience I desired during our stay at Siargao Island Villas. I will choose to return and stay here again on our next visit to Siargao. This is also the hotel I will recommend, and I am confident that I will not be embarrassed due to the excellent experience it can provide, not only for me but also for other guests who will come here.
