LUGAW OVERLOAD OF LUGAW PILINAS - THE TASTIEST LUGAW I HAD SO FAR IN MARILAO

I was looking for a snack earlier and I happened to pass by Lugaw Pilipinas Marilao Branch in Casa Milaben Building in Brgy. Ibayo, Marilao, Bulacan. I've seen this lugawan before, but it was only now that I decided to try ordering here. The branch's facade isn't very appealing because it's quite small and not very noticeable, so initially, I wasn't really enticed to buy. However, since I saw it earlier, I stopped and decided to give it a try so I went inside and checked their menu. And because their name is Lugaw Pilipinas, it means their specialty is lugaw, so that's what I should order. They have 6 choices for their Lugaw Meals: Lugaw Plain, Lugaw Egg, Lugaw Puso, Lugaw Bulaklak, Lugaw Lechon, and Lugaw Overload. Since it's my first time ordering from them, of course, I'll go for what I think is their bestseller, which is the Lugaw Overload.

Their overloaded rice porridge is a combination of various toppings in one porridge meal, such as heart, egg, chicharon bulaklak, and roasted pork. It is priced at 99.00 pesos per order, a truly worthwhile price considering the amount of rice porridge and toppings it has. I ordered 3 take-out orders for myself, my spouse, and our household helper. The crew asked me if I wanted to avail of plastic containers for better packaging, for an additional fee of 12.00 pesos per tub, and I agreed. I waited for about 10-12 minutes before my order was served, which was a bit longer compared to other lugawan where you get your order immediately upon placing it. Perhaps it was because my order was quite large and all overload, and preparing the toppings also took some time.

Upon arriving home, I immediately invited my helper to have a snack with me and enjoy the lugaw I brought while it was still hot. I quickly served it, and we began eating. With the first spoonful, I could immediately taste its deliciousness. Even just the broth alone indicated that real soup stock or the very essence of the toppings had been used, making it truly flavorful. The toppings such as innards, flowers, and lechon were also incredibly tasty. The texture and taste were just right, especially when you add calamansi and chili oil – although, of course, this is based on your preference. Some people also add fried garlic and spring onions for an even more flavorful experience. My God, I finished an entire order, and truth be told, their Lugaw Overload serving is quite generous – it will definitely fill you up. An hour later, my spouse arrived. I informed him that I had bought some delicious lugaw for a snack, and he tasted it. As expected, he also thoroughly enjoyed the lugaw overload.

Honestly, there are a lot of lugawan (rice porridge) places here in Meycauayan and Marilao Bulacan. I was initially curious and wondered why there are so many lugawan establishments in this area. And in fact until now, I still don't know the answer. However, I must say that out of all the lugaw I've tried in this area, Lugaw Overload from Lugaw Pilipinas is the most delicious. This is not a sponsored blog, so I have nothing to gain by lying. Everything I've said here is an honest review. So far, this is the only lugawan here that has satisfied me, from the taste to portion size. Perhaps my only negative comment would be the preparation time, which is a bit long, but maybe they can improve their system to make the serving time faster. By the way, Lugaw Pilipinas doesn't just offer lugaw meals; they also have affordable rice meals and side dishes that you can try. 

So, if you happen to be in the area, consider passing by at Lugaw Pilipinas Marilao Branch in Barangay Ibayo, Marilao, Bulacan, or you can also order through Food Panda or Grab because I believe they also offer food delivery on these platforms.
